# Components:
→ Breads & Spreads
01 - 4 slices sandwich bread (white, sourdough, or whole grain)
02 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
→ Cheeses
03 - 4 slices cheddar cheese or assorted cheese
→ Seasonings
05 - Salt, to taste
06 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
→ Optional Add-ins
07 - 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives or parsley
08 - 2 slices cooked bacon or ham
# Directions:
01 - Warm a non-stick skillet over medium heat to prepare for toasting the sandwiches.
02 - Butter one side of each bread slice evenly using softened unsalted butter.
03 - Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, onto the hot skillet. Top each with two slices of cheese.
04 - In a separate small frying pan, cook the eggs to your preferred doneness, either fried or scrambled. Season with salt and pepper.
05 - Once the cheese has begun to melt, layer a cooked egg over the cheese on each sandwich. Add chives, parsley, bacon, or ham if desired.
06 - Position the remaining bread slices on top, buttered side facing upward.
07 - Carefully flip each sandwich using a spatula. Cook until the second side is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3 to 4 minutes per side.
08 - Transfer sandwiches to a cutting board, allow to rest for 1 minute, then slice and serve immediately.
