04 - 1.75 ounces unsalted butter
05 - 1.75 ounces light brown sugar

→ Caramelized Apples

06 - 2 large apples, such as Granny Smith or Braeburn, peeled, cored, and sliced
07 - 1 ounce unsalted butter
08 - 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
09 - 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
10 - 1 pinch salt

→ Filling & Toppings

11 - 2 ripe bananas, sliced
12 - 1 1/4 cups heavy cream, cold
13 - 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
14 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
15 - Dark chocolate shavings, optional
16 - Extra caramel sauce, optional

# Directions:

01 - Crush digestive biscuits or graham crackers into fine crumbs using a food processor or a resealable bag and rolling pin. In a mixing bowl, combine crumbs with melted unsalted butter until fully incorporated. Firmly press the mixture into the base and up the sides of a 9-inch springform or pie tin. Refrigerate for a minimum of 30 minutes to set.
02 - In a saucepan set over low heat, melt the unsalted butter and light brown sugar, stirring until dissolved. Add sweetened condensed milk and stir continuously. Increase heat to medium and cook, stirring, for 5 to 7 minutes until the mixture thickens and takes on a golden hue. Pour over the chilled biscuit base and smooth evenly. Return to the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
03 - In a skillet over medium heat, melt unsalted butter. Add sliced apples along with light brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Cook, stirring frequently, for 8 to 10 minutes until the apples are soft and thoroughly caramelized. Allow to cool completely before proceeding.
04 - Arrange cooled caramelized apples in an even layer over the set toffee base. Top with a single layer of sliced ripe bananas.
05 - In a chilled mixing bowl, whisk heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract using an electric mixer or whisk until soft peaks form. Spread or pipe whipped cream over the fruit topping.
06 - Sprinkle the top with dark chocolate shavings and drizzle with additional caramel sauce if desired. Refrigerate for a minimum of 1 hour to achieve clean slices before serving.
